SIEMENS PROCESS AUTOMATION PRICE UPDATE: FIELD EQUIPMENT PERSPECTIVE

Siemens Ltd. China, Digital Industries, Process Automation has announced an SLC DI PA list price adjustment effective September 9, 2026. The scope extends from control-system hardware and software to analytical instruments, SITRANS devices, industrial networking and power products.

Field Instruments and Analytical Equipment

For instrumentation teams, the notice lists gas analyzers and laser gas analyzers at an average adjustment of about 8%. Gas chromatographs are shown at approximately 10%, while SITRANS process instruments fall in an 8%–9% range.

Maintenance planners should check transmitter, analyzer and chromatograph requirements by complete order code. Configuration, approval, materials of construction and accessory selections can place items in different price groups.

Controllers, PCS 7 and Plant Connectivity

The automation portion includes an average adjustment of around 10% for SIMATIC S7-400 CPU and I/O products. PCS 7/neo software and PCS 7 hardware CPU/I/O are listed across a 3%–12% range, with PCS 7 accessories averaging about 10%.

Industrial communication hardware is shown at 6%–9%, communication software at 10%–11%, industrial identification at about 3%, and industrial power supplies at 5%–12%. These areas matter directly to field service because controller, network, identification and power components often form one replacement or expansion package.

Actions for Maintenance and Reliability Teams

• Review planned shutdown work and spare-instrument purchases before the effective date.
• Confirm the exact model, option string and hazardous-area approval for each field device.
• Include communication interfaces, power modules, licenses and accessories in the same budget review.
• Request an updated formal quotation when an earlier offer extends beyond September 9.

Siemens says the revision reflects continuing increases in electronic-component, raw-material, transportation and energy costs, as well as wider global supply-chain pressure.
